Hamish Jeffcott began playing music after receiving a brain injury which completely turned his life around. During the recovery process Hamish struggled to let anyone know how he felt and how to place what he was feeling into words. But through song writing Hamish was able to say how he felt and also write down what he was feeling. The music helped him as a therapy through his injury and very dark times of his life and he hopes that it can help others through hard times of their own.

Hamish loves to write his music and include experiences of his own at the same time as telling the stories of the world. The music has taken him to France, New Zealand, Dominican Republic and London. He has played performances in Brick lane and toured the French alps.

During Hamish'a injury he almost constantly listened to artists such as Elbow and Damien Rice who both play a major role in influencing his music. Since starting his music career Hamish discovered Mumford and Sons who greatly influence Hamish's lyric writing.

In recent years Hamish has been looking to evolve his sound and in the process of searching for a new sound he found the artist Foy Vance who strings wonderful lyrics together so effortlessly and includes the folks roots that Hamish had been searching for.

Hamish's song, 'From my knees' is about the struggle of not being able to express emotions or put them into words and how society constantly puts the pressure on people to speak openly but then also suppresses them when they do want to speak. 'From my knees is currently available to listen to on YouTube, but not on any other streaming platforms.

Hamish also writes about the trials and tribulations of relationships. His song 'Rains' is written about not wanting to let a relationship die and to stop the rain from dousing out the spark of the relationship.

From the therapy that music has given Hamish through the difficulties he has faced in life he wants his music to help as many people as it can. Those that are dealing with everyday difficulties or those that have huge life changing events, Hamish's music helps express his compassion for people, his love for life and adventure and his mission to help those in need through music.
